The Rat River Recreation Commission was established in 1996.

Our purpose and mission is to promote, initiate and support recreation for residents of all ages in our communities. To ensure a healthy quality of living through fostering the development of recreation and parks services.

The Commission is funded mainly from 3 government bodies: - RM De Salaberry
- Village of/de St. Pierre-Jolys
- Manitoba Department of Culture Heritage and Tourism
