The nuisance ground site is presently operated jointly with the Village of St-Pierre-Jolys and the R.M. of DeSalaberry.

The operation of the present landfill site consists of a number of activities. The landfill site has a separate area for handling farmers used chemical containers which are then recycles by "Acre" Association for a Clean Environment. The landfill site also sorts out wastes such as concrete, wood products, tires and general landfill wastes.

What can be brought to the Municipal Nuisance Grounds

Metal: Any electrical appliance - big or small; electrical wire, metal chairs, tables, empty paint cans. Propane tanks have to be left at your local refill centre.

Tires: Tires only.

Pesticides: Containers only.

Wood: Wood, sofas, chairs, mattresses, tables, cabinets, cardboard, newspaper, grass cuttings, branches, carpet, ropes, strings.

Trash: Plastic jugs, gyproc, shingles, rubble, insulation, styrofoam, plastic pipes, glass bottles, underlay, linoleum, dirt, gravel, toilets, heavy duty plastics...

Batteries: Leave at nuisance grounds office.

We now accept oil, oil containers and oil filters!
